About the Live Event
Camberwell`s Food and Drink festival is a traditional event every spring in London. This festival showcases the food and drink on the market in Camberwell and surrounding areas, from shops, farmers, restaurants, bars and cafés.
The Production Project
This was a last-minute booking with a delightfully open brief: “can you please film everything and make us a video”. So we opened our apertures and got stuck in, looking forward to seeing everyone having a good time.
Producer Caroline Haybyrne quickly found out who was and lined up a series of interviews with some notable locals including Peter John, head of the local council, Lucas Hollweg who writes about food for the Sunday Times, Priya Prakash of Changify Camberwell and the lovely Miss Jamaica (UK).
Videographer Sharon McVeigh roamed the stalls, zooming in to the delightful rich aromas, capturing the local musicians showing there is still life in 60’s folk music (only joking!) and perhaps most importantly, the relaxing hordes lapping up the sunshine on the grass in the middle of it all.
Back in the edit suite, Sharon mixed up the ingredients with the strict remit to reduce everything to no more that 90 seconds of fun. All in all this was a fun job and a pleasant change from the normal, more intense video productions we normally get involved in.
