About the Client / Project
The client was involved in the diamond industry with another party when he got in touch with WebVideos. He wasn’t too sure what he was looking for but he knew he wanted to get a web presence and had a rough idea around what to base the proposition.
After a series of meetings we collectively came up with the idea of a diamond pricing website that would collect leads of people interested in buying a diamond but wanted the best possible market price.
In a matter of weeks the initial concept of a single page site with a video went to a multi-page information portal plus videos.
Website Design / CMS
We worked closely with the client and after a number of design submissions we agreed on a finalised design for the site.
We built the website using a Content Management System (CMS) with a view to training the client up to make simple adjustments and to update the website themselves. We also integrated the web forms on the site into a database capture system that would efficiently manage all the contacts that came through the website.
Scriptwriting / Filming / Video Production
The scriptwriting process was very thorough, with the client proving much of the information. The client had a background in copywriting and was very enthusiastic about the project.
He was very involved and wrote a series of scripts himself which we filmed alongside the scripts written by our team.
We filmed the agreed web presenter against greenscreen in a small Film Studio in South London with the client present.
We edited the videos and added post production graphics in the new style of the client’s new website, using shapes, fonts & colours that would ensure brand continuity between the website & the videos.
We also host the videos with a very low cost hosting package with dedicated streaming servers across the globe.
Because we were in the creative process from the ground up, we also got to design the logo.
The usual process of consider, create, deliver was employed until we could both agree on a final design.
Web Form Design / Re-Design / Split Testing
The contact form went through a whole host of design and re-design.
We tested various different form designs which were run against google adword campaigns from which data was collected as to how many people were using the form successfully.
This was to ensure that the final design design was the most ‘user friendly’ design in order to optimize the amount of people getting in touch.
We recently upgraded our video streaming cabability which has enabled us to stream videos anywhere in the world on a multi-platform basis. This allows our videos to be seen on practically any device or operating system, from your iPad & iPhone to your regular Windows based PC and countless other devices.
