Avand.tv - Plumbing Course Video Centric Microsite
About The Client / Project
Avand provides Plumbing Courses in the south of England. Open days had always proven useful in recruiting students.
The client wanted to recreate the experience online and provide multiple opportunities for would be students to get in touch to find out more. After a few meetings we decided to create a ‘video centric’ microsite that would provide all the information needed for a prospective student to make an informed decision about the course. We set up a new dotTV site with a full range of videos covering all the most frequently asked question plus a series of testimonials of current and past students.
Microsite Web Design
After a number of design submissions we agreed on a finalised design for the site.
The website was specifically designed with the display of the videos in mind with the videos taking centre stage as the main source of information for the visitor.
Filming the Videos
After agreeing the scripts we filmed the presenter against greenscreen at Northwood Studios South London. The presenter we agreed on was Sarah Hollamby who has been in the business for more than 20 years, both on and off TV.
Post Production & Flash Graphics
We put the final result together with a combination of video editing and flash animated graphics. Working this way enabled us to streamline the project and pass the cost savings on to the client.
Bespoke Flash Player
The final videos were integrated into a bespoke flash video player which combined with a javascript call routine to enable all the videos to be played from a single page. Using flash also enabled us to also integrate a web form into the videos.
The response forms we provided at the end of the videos and on the page collect visitor emails addresses at the point when they are most interested.
Satellite TV Advert
In addition to the videos and microsite WebVideos filmed and produced a TV Advert for transmission on satellite TV.
